About the Socialist Fighters' Alliance (Afghanistan)

The Socialist Fighters' Alliance came into being in November 2023 with the announcement of its ten-point manifesto. This alliance includes comrades who have been trying to represent socialist radicalism in the country's political space for decades. The Alliance of Fighters was founded as a result of long discussions among a number of these comrades on key issues.

The Alliance of Fighters is constantly striving to unite a greater number of socialist fighters around a single program of struggle through socialist discourse and seminars. The conscious and revolutionary unity of socialist fighters is the first step towards the creation of a working-class political party, a working-class political party that emerges from the fusion of revolutionary socialism and the working-class movement, and the workers' political party is undoubtedly the most important weapon of struggle for the revolutionary change of society.

Afghan society has been experiencing a dark and calamitous period under the rule of the Taliban. While the Taliban rule is, on the one hand, the greatest religious and ethnic reactionary domination in the last century of the history of the struggle between modernity and tradition, on the other hand, it will be the last of its kind. The ultra-reactionary rule of the Taliban awakens and brings revolutionary capacities into the scene. This rule has already sounded the death knell of religious and ethnic reaction.

The Socialist Fighters' Alliance, by combining revolutionary socialism with all demands for freedom and equality, considers the overthrow of the Taliban's Emirate of ignorance and religious tyranny as the first step towards a free, equal, and humane society. Although the Socialist Fighters' Alliance considers every effort to overthrow the Taliban regime to be a positive thing, it attaches fundamental importance to the independence of socialist freedom struggles. Dialectical holistic view leads the Alliance to see the solution of every political and social conflict in connection with class struggle. Learning from past experiences, the Alliance of Socialist Fighters avoids any sectarian approach in thought and practice. The Alliance of Fighters also considers the training of experienced and aware communist cadres as one of its unceasing priorities.
